(Decatur, Illinois) With beautiful fall-like weather taking over the Midwest, racing this weekend will be at its best. None any bigger than the Monsters of Midwest Tour at the HBR Raceway in Vienna, Illinois. This will be the second time on the tour that Quarter Midgets and Karts will share the spotlight. Coming into this event on the Quarter Midget side there are six drivers within 2 points of the first ever Triple Crown for Quarter Midgets on the Monsters Tour. There is a three way tie for the top spot with Brody aka “Goose” Strong, Reece Reichart, and Austin French. Only one point back is the up and coming female sensation Audrey Gerberding, and tied for third only trailing Gerberding by one point are Nash Hilmes and Kinser Maners. Quarter Midget classes scheduled for this Saturday are Jr/Sr Novice, Jr Honda, Sr Honda, and LTE160. The Monster Tour offers Quarter Midget teams a stage to race on with no commitments of memberships or any type of volunteering, so it indeed can be family fun at the track.
The karts make their third visit on the circuit. The karts will be running for some big money. The restructured Unilli Lightning Series will be present. The Series will be running for the exact same purses they were scheduled for at the same entry fee. The only difference will be a 20 kart minimum has been placed on the original classes. An additional class has been added. GUARANTEED Unilli 380 will be running for $1000.00 to win. Also running will be many local classes. The Monsters of the Midwest Tour is a traveling Tour that offers local drivers and teams a chance to be a part of something special. The local classes within the Tour are aimed to keep costs down all the while keeping teams on a competitive level.
